How to browse on facebook without others users seeing your name?
BySometimes I just want to go on facebook and just look at pics, without someone popping up wanting to chat with me. How can I lurk on there without my name showing up for others to see? |

ok, when u go to facebook look on the bottom right
click on chat
then click options
it should be somewhere around that area
it should say like “appear offline”

on the new chat, just open up the chat box, click “options” and select “go offline”
Then you’ll be offline for chat.

If you’re referring to the chat program in the bottom right… expand your chat, click “options” and say “go offline”

All the above suggestions are right, also FB just changed their chat thing and has people grouped into categories which you can turn on and off.
For instance, before if I was “online” I was available to everyone, but now, I made a category specifically for this one guy who frequently tries to chat with me, now since he’s in his own category I can turn that category off and am able to chat with my other friends as well.

See when you browse on facebook no body see your name is you facebook chat is offline.
