ALLIANT ENERGY EXECUTIVE RESIGNS

business development and president of the Madison company’s Alliant
Energy Resources subsidiary, has resigned. Hoffman, who worked out
of the company’s Cedar Rapids, Iowa, offices, built Alliant’s
portfolio of unregulated businesses, many of which Alliant is now
selling or has already sold. Those unregulated operations have
included energy-related holdings in China, Brazil and Australia,
the infrastructure development of a Mexican resort community, and
ownership stakes in Whiting Petroleum and McLeodUSA.
